Performer born and based in Porto.
Addicted to Learning, Exploring and Materializing.
Inspired by Nature and People.
Joyfully hopping between Worlds.
I have been working around contemporary and folk dance on national and international productions for over 12 years.
My current interests go from exploring concepts of:
inclusiveness,
alternative governance processes,
group decision making,
performative possibilities in dialogues with the History of Art.
As a teacher, I regularly teach dance classes and workshops for all age groups.
I graduated in Dance from the Ginasiano Escola de Dança (V.N. de Gaia), from the Escola Superior de Dança (Lisbon) and the Institut del Teatre (Barcelona).
I worked with Amalgama Companhia de Dança, directed by Alexandra Battaglia, performing in Portugal, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Guangdong, and Macao. In addition to my work as an interpreter, she worked as a director’s assistant, producer, and teacher.
As an independent choreographer and performer in national and international productions, I highlight my collaborations with Plural Companhia de Dança / Rafael Alvarez (PT), Olga Cunha (PT), Aiko Kurosaki (JP/AT), Chto Delat (RUS), Cléo Tabakian (FR), Kitana Project (ROU).
My experience have been more focused on dance and contemporary performance, but I have been discovering traditional and balfolk dance and in the fusion between them, new forms of expression for artistic creation and teaching practices that allow people of different age groups and with varied mental and physical abilities to dance.
I recently co-founded O Enxame e o Fuso, a cultural cooperative (https://oenxameeofuso.wordpress.com/) with Clélia Colonna and Greta Wardega.
I regularly collaborate with Coreto - Associação para a Promoção de Artes e Culturas Tradicionais (PT), Popolomondo Associação (PT) and Nascente Cooperativa.
